Is your name and proof you were here.
Never fear Pilgrim...you are not forgotten, will not be forgotten to the world.

Your Steps to Santiago are singular yet utterly unique in the world. Your passage may be like the wind of a warm summers day..felt by some in passing and moving on....your mark as if a hand pressing down in the fields of waving grass
Every one see's it but few understand.

But we see you.

Those who came before and those to come will know who you were and they too will know that feeling.

Belonging.

So..Be...Longing... toward something bigger than you but built by you.
So that when you gladly spread your wings and lift from this mortal soil you will belong to a greater part
One star
In a river of stars eternal and patient
Millions of stars
Millions of peoples
Millions of steps
Millions of breaths
Millions of laughters
Millions of tears

Your name a breath upon the universe.

Pilgrim. You are not inconsequential nor unknown
You are a confraternity of humans who have passed beyond who others are.

No matter what or where ...you now belong.

Pax.

THank you for another insightful poem. Recently on another forum there was a discussion about graffiti. Several opined that people have a need to leave their mark. Your poem reminds us that by the act of walking the Camino, we have left our mark.

Appreciate it guys..it was a difficult concept to put to words.

Oh, thank you!!!
