As Portugal topped their group and Spain runners up in theirs (both through to the next round)..not much to console about.
As the late Ian Dury sang "reasons to be cheerful..one;two;three"

I occasionally think some of the questions / topics on this forum stray too far from, in my opinion, what this forum is about.

Eventually they just produce clutter, in the same way a weed is just a useful plant in the wrong place and there is enough overgrowth already.

The only thing that makes this thread about the Camino are the words "Spain" and "Portugal".
That said, I can't say I've never gone off-topic myself.

Football is a national sport in Spain… as pilgrims walking now will see when Spain plays, the bars are full and energy levels high.
