Hi Eimer!
If you want to finish in Bilbao, wouldn't you consider starting in Irun/San Sebastian? The Camino del Norte connects both cities, is a traditional trail and seems very, VERY beautiful :)

But whatever you decide, let us know. There is a lot of information in this forum, what are your main doubts?

Lots of memories to store for years of laughs! Buen Camino!

A nice website to check is https://www.gronze.com/camino-norte (it has other caminos as well). It lists all accomodation along the routes, for all budgets!

From Biarritz, you can get 2 trains or buses and you will be in Irun in around 1 or 2 hours. I believe Irun-Bilbao would be around 130km, you can enjoy all the pintxos from the Basque country and you can save the lat bus-train to get to Bilbao airport. Appearantly, the 1st and 2nd days of this route are among the best scenic views of all caminos - I'm SO planning to walk this route next :)

From Biarritz to SJPP, it is also a 2-3 hours bus ride. Walking more or less 110km from there will get you near Estella, after Pamplona - another amazing city for sightseeing and food. From there, you can take a 4-hour Alsa bus to Bilbao on your way back.

Let us know if you need any specific info, and do not hesitate in using the Search box on the top of the page - heaps of info can be found there! Buen Camino!
