Tour du Mont Blanc... then Camino Frances?

Time of past OR future Camino
Frances (Sept2014)
Partial Frances (July 2016)
Via Augusta (April 2019)
For the month of July, 2016, I am considering hiking the TMB and then heading directly to SJPDP to walk as much as I can of the CF before I have to head home. I was wondering if anyone else had done this, and what they thought of doing the two so close together. I have walked the Camino Frances before, in Sept-Oct of 2014 so I know what to expect there, at least I think I do :) Thanks for any input.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The TMB I've done two times, the Camino never. But from what I know this are two very different walks. The TMB is a splendid mountain hike. But in the TMB you have climbs of 1.000 meters and more, and small paths, sometimes through snow and scree. To do the complete TMB, also with the full Italian part, takes about 12 days. If you've done the TMB, you will have not much trouble with the first stage over the Pyrenees. However, you ll have about two weeks left maximum for the Camino Frances.

Perhaps the Frances would be too tame after TMB, although it may be nice to ramble on camino again and recall memories of previous walk. Consider the Norte for a Camino in Spain.
Depending on where you finish TMB the Via Francigena may be within easy reach.

There are other nice walks not far from the TMB, like the Percorsi Occitani and the Valle Varaita Trekking in Piemonte (both about 12 days), the GR5 in France, or if you want to stick with Caminos, the GR65 from Le Puy.

Hi
I'm doing the CF this May /June (24 Days) then onto the TMB from June 9 to June 17 (8 days). My main concern is that I may be a week early, as mid June is recommended.
