I went to--
https://petrabax.com/renfe/tickets/

I was not able to put in Madrid to Pamplona at all for any day. Like that destination was not even possible. Am I doing something wrong or is the site malfunctioning? And if it does begin to work right, so I book immediately? Please advise. Thank you.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

There are 3 easy steps.

The third is select the number of persons. If you don't do that there is no schedule.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I booked through the Renfe website. The fare was 23 euro from Madrid to Pamplona on April 7th.

Rometorio.com will give you all of the choices and links.

I book directly with Renfe for train or Alsa and PLM for bus (directly from airport as stated previously - fairly new, cheap and pretty comfortable w/bathroom - recommended).

The trouble I have run into is the credit card, sometimes there is a paypal option that works when credit cards don't.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Try it again. That's the site I used and no problems booking. I got my tickets via email the next day. I couldn't book through Renfe to save my life.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Go to Rail Europe, the link is below.

I tried other sites, however this one was the cheapest that I found for train tickets, especially if you book in advance.
.......I just rechecked my notes.....it was a slightly different website that had the best prices for train tickets.

The best deal came from the second website.
I had to wait until it was about 60 days before the trip.

How did it comapare with Renfe?
We still found it cheaper. I'll have to go back and look at my notes.
.....I checked, it was around 20 euros difference. I bought my train tickets 60 days prior to the date I'd need them.
Hope that helps!

I wanted to share my experience today of buying Renfe tickets online on the Renfe web site vs. using Petrabax, which is a US based agent that some people use because of problems with using North American credit cards to purchase tickets directly from Renfe online.

I was buying 4 tickets from Barcelona to Burgos mid-June. The cost on the Renfe site was 136.8 euros ($161 USD) and the cost on Petrabax for the same train, same date, same seats, was $288 USD. When I called Petrabax to find out what I was missing, the rep just said, "well, we charge a commission." I'll say. I was concerned because my credit-card is issued by a US bank, but I used Paypal (which in turn charged my credit-card) on the Renfe site and all went fine.

That's because you bought tickets at a discount promotion price.

The standard ticket actually costs approx 65 euro. So $288 for four is not unreasonable.

Good on you for getting the deal.

So I guess Petrabax does not sell tickets at Renfe's promotional prices, only the full ticket price?

I don't know. I just tried the site and it sells tickets in line with promotional prices found on the renfe site .. given there are exchange differences and yes petrabax gets a commission fee. I guess date and time of travel matter too. I am not getting the same large discrepancies as you describe. (Which is not saying you got it wrong ...) 138 euro for four tickets is pretty good.
