Hi

Getting from Dublin to Spain generally involves one of the budget airlines -Ryanair or Aer Lingus (which on European routes acts as a budget airline as competes with ryanair) -
Ryanair fly to Santander two/three times a week. From there to get to villaviciosa involves two buses either with a change in Oveido or Gijon - check http://www.movelia.es/en/index.html
There was also a thread last year discussing it :
http://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/getting-to-villaviciosa-from-santander.17495/
Getting to Oviedo as your start point has a train service FEVE which can be found on http://www.renfe.com/

Aer Lingus fly to Bilbao three times a week - and there is an ALSA bus service to Oveido which takes about 4 hours

Both Ryanair and Aer Lingus fly to Madrid daily - and then it would be a 6 hour bus journey to Oviedo or Gijon and then change bus for Villaiciosa - see http://www.movelia.es/en/index.html

Aer Lingus also fly to Santiago de Compostela a few times a week - and there is also an ALSA bus from there to Oveido

If you take a bus from Santander to Oviedo or Gijon you are going past Villaviciosa and then changing and coming back to it. You might try taking the ALSA bus from Santander, change at Llanes or Ribadesella for Villaviciosa. I just checked the ALSA site here. FEVE from Santander to Llanes or Ribadesella then change for the local bus might also be an option.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Peregrino tom- I meant to add the change at Gijon or Oviedo to the Madrid flights - the change for Santander is Llanes- well spotted!
