Traveling from Fisterra to Vigo

Hello fellow pilgrims! I don't know what I would have done without this forum! I have received so much great advice here!

I have a flight out to Madrid from Vigo in August. I'll be in Fisterra. Is there a bus that runs from Fisterra to Vigo or should I book a train ticket?

This is my last major point a to point b question. Thanks so much!

Buen Camino!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Unless things have changed since July 2010, I took the bus from Fisterra to Santiago and again a bus from Santiago to Vigo. Both bus trips were wonderful especially the one back to Santiago along the Costa da Morte and very cheap. If I can find the details will post again.

We did this two weeks ago. Catch the bus at the station next to the alburge in Finisterra. If it is one of the two level buses go up for great views. Trip is almost three hours (12 euro? ). At the bus station in Santiago you can get the bus to Vigo...an hour and half trip or so (8 euro).
We didn't make the change from the bus to the local bus in Vigo since friends met us. The bus route to the airport is 9 a for 1.22€. We had an early flight and stayed near the airport at Hotel Resturante Avion. 55€ for a double and they will shuttle you to the airport. Tip if you stay there is eat in the cafeteria rather than the restaurant...same kitchen but lower prices.

Thanks all. That is great news about the bus! I'll be catching a flight to Madrid at 5:30 from Vigo. I'll be spending my last night in Spain in a very nice hotel in Madrid since I have an early morning flight the next day as well.
