Camino Frances in stages ,2011,2012,2013,2014. Vdlp April 2015 to Merida. Planning Merida to Salamanca sept 2015
I will be joining the Camino in Estella. What is the best way to get to Estella from Bilbao?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
You probably will need to go from Bilbao to Logrono, then switch to a bus to Estella. ALSA will show you the departures from Bilbao, but the Logrono-to-Estella bus line is a local, and I cannot find the link at the moment. It is posted somewhere in the Forum!!!!

AAhh - I have done this many times.

Take the dedicated public bus from the Airport to the Central Bus terminus in Bilbao - it runs every 20 minutes and costs just over one Euro.

Then take a bus to Pamplona - there are at least 4 per day - cost is around 15 euros.( less than 3 hours) - you will have to buy a ticket from the relevant kiosk.

The bus takes you to the fantastic new bus terminus in Pamplona only a few hundred meters from the 'Old Town'.

Jump straight on to the Camino - Estella is 2 days walk or .......

get a bus to Estella from the same terminus which runs at least 3 times a day and costs less than 5 euros.( half an hour) :D

Looking at your times , I think that you will make the last bus to Pamplona with ease but you will have to wait for the next morning to get from Pamplona to Estella.

Thanks all who replied. This has given me good options to look at.
