Time of past OR future Camino
VdlP September/October 2016
Hi all, I've been using this forum for a while but haven't even introduced myself, sorry about that! :)
My name is Susan, I'm Dutch, and just booked my flight to Sevilla to start the Via de la Plata on the 30th or 31st of August. I took 3 months off between contracts so I have all the time in the world to wander around. Especially looking forward to Extremadura! I'm planning to take it really really slow, do a lot of sightseeing on the way, maybe a bit off the way as well, and practice my Spanish. I'm an experienced solo traveler but not a very experienced long distance walker (with backpack) so a bit worried about that aspect of the camino ;)
This forum has been useful so far, thank you very much for all the advice and hope to meet some of you on the way!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

¡Buen Camino!

Enjoy every step and every stop of your camino (and detours).

Buen Camino! I am a slow pilgrim myself and took 2 months to walk the VdlP, so 3 months is even better ;-) Enjoy every step, SY

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I really enjoyed walking the Via del Plata. No need to carry heavy load you can buy all you need along the way.

Not much shade along the way so protect yourself.

And get your sello at the cathedral nice place to visit.

You will see KM and KM of grape trees olives trees and fruits trees!!!

As for the long distance of the trip... Never see more than one KM at the time and you will do it well!

It is my meditation Camino!

I am planning 2 months. September & October.

You will see

Please note that the OP was going to walk in 2016 and hasn't been on the forum since 2019.

It is easy to miss the date on the thread, and we all make that mistake sometimes! In fact, it can often be interesting to resurrect an old thread like this!

I do love your "swept ember" - so picturesque @bobhilljax ! Please don't edit. I think everyone knows you mean September. But a lovely auto-correct error. And Buen Camino!
