A hostel for pilgrims in Logroño hospitalero disappeared last Wednesday from the building having taken all the money raised from the past day 16, a figure that has been able to confirm this medium, round the 4,600 euros. Theft, confirmed by the City Council and the Association of friends of the Camino de Santiago, points to the authorship of the cited hospitalero, of initial r. a., claiming to be from Barcelona and also took a bunch of keys from the hostel, where on the other hand was well known by the workers, who had not seen him «nothing stranger». On the contrary, "was an overturned, helpful and polite, person who had made the hospitalero workshop", explains Laura Rodriguez, sister of the President of the Association, and yesterday spokesman.
As added Norberto Gil, collaborator of the Association, the missing money corresponds to seven days of collection (each pilgrim paid 7 euros to spend the night in one of the 70 beds in the hostel) and retrieved with the sale of t-shirts, shells, key chains and other objects, carried out during the same period; amounts that are kept in a drawer without any special security system. The Association, which has already the corresponding complaint to the police, on the other hand indicated that no Pilgrim reported thefts of private belongings.
Disappeared
Logrono hostel opens its doors every day at 1300 hours and closes them at 2200. The hospitalero cited, that the facts point as a main suspect of theft, carrying from the 16 day working there as a volunteer and slept in a room of the building.
According to Rodriguez, on Wednesday at 0700 hours, when came the cleaning lady found a poster of the alleged thief in which said that he had left and returned to 10.30 hours. "However, it was through the morning and did not appear, so call the police if it had happened to him something." "But when they opened their room, they saw that there was nothing... and the next thing was to check that it was not the money."
«Us has split in two,» lamented yesterday members of the Association, which in any case have already emphasized that "assume its responsibility" to what happened. The hospitaleros are people who have done the Camino de Santiago and who collaborate in the maintenance of the hostels and the diffusion of the artistic, cultural and spiritual content of the road. "They are people who understand this work as a way to return to the way that this has given".
In this case, r. a. was already known to be specific in the hostel before, and for his work now there and previously in the hostel of Navarrete. He had even gone to dinner with a member of the Association in the days prior to the event. «He said that he lives in a small village in the Angliru;» "it was very polite and kind," told another Member of the Association. The news has its side of stupefaction "because it is a small amount for the mess in which you could put". Others spoke of the "picaresque of the way», that already he has claimed similar thefts in other hostels. This is the first that suffers from Logroño.

If at first you don't succeed.....
.....then skydiving is probably not for you!

This is horrible. Totally not the way of the Camino. I wish this wasn't so. Desperate times? Greed? Arrogance? May paybacks come tenfold.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
that's sad. for someone desperate, 4600 E is a lot of money. That's just about my annual budget if I live cheap. So, I can see where it would be tempting if someone has fallen on hard times.

SIMPLE WAY TO AVOID , BANK DAILY
Sad but there are some desperate people.
I will never judge why.
