What are the best iPhone applications that can be used in the Camino for walking navigation?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I used maps.me and in that downloaded all the Spain maps onto my device - then I didn't need wifi when looking at a map.

Walked the Frances with Wise Pilgrim and loved it twice over because I used it in 2015 and again in 2107. Did also download a very good version of the Brierley guide using Trailsmart in 2017. I used it to get additional historical and tourist information about the route and also as a cross reference so that I could avoid stopping at the recommended Brierley stages if I thought that there was any possible problem with getting a bed.

Hola @Coloso I bookmarked POST: 443818 by @t2andreo a while ago. maps.me program and google maps worked great. I know there have been other threads, so you might consider searching for iPhone apps.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I use Motion-X everywhere I go. Let's you download map segments as needed with the amount of detail you want/need. Since I walk with my wife, another feature I really appreciate is that you can see where the other is on your map if you get separated. This feature can even be shared easily with people back home if they want to follow you 'live'. Lastly, you can email them your track for the day which can be opened in Google Earth where they can do a flyover to visualize your daily effort. Pretty great app!!

Hi and welcome to the forum @Coloso

I like and use the 'wise pilgrim apps' as a 'smartphone guide' and they are also available as a printed guidebook. But the one app I use the most is the famous yellow arrow app ;-) Buen Camino, SY
