Water availability on the Portuguese Camino

I walked the Camino Frances last year and it's gotten in to my blood! I am planning to walk the Portugal route this August. I will only walk from Porto because I wasn't able to get as much time off work this year. Does anybody know if water is as readily available on this route? Are there fountains for pilgrims like on the French route? Any other route specific tips would be greatly appreciated as well!

Buen Camino,
Danette

My wife and I walked from Porto last September and had no problems finding water. Besides fountains, there are cafes in most villages of any size. Go to http://www.alberguederates.com/index_EN.html where you will find excellent stage maps with lots of detail on what you will find along the way. The CSJ guide also provides enough detail. We followed the usual rule... "good water here? Drink and fill up." We hope your walk is beautiful.
