The Green Monster - for the uninitiated - being the monstrous greenish, steel overpass that you must climb several landings on to walk over the high-speed train tracks.
I thought the Green Monster was in Boston at Fenway Park.

It is ugly, but necessary to prevent pedestrian deaths - the trains are very fast. The vehicle crossing is closed.

I was surprised how many pilgrims walked on past while I was there, never discovering this feature.I don't understand how you could miss this statue if you follow either camino from Hospital de Órbigo to Astorga. The Crucero de Santo Toribio is at the top of the hill, the statue of the drinking pilgrim [Sculpture "Sitio" (Tengo Sed) [I'm thirsty] (2014) by the artist Rosendo García Ramos 'Sendo' (1948- ).] is near the bottom of the hill, where the path meets the road. You can see it on Streetview.

For some reason, I laugh walking up that switchback bridge, seeing the people zig zagging down on the other side at the same time.I have crossed this bridge more than once and never was really thrilled about it haha
