Not sure if this belongs in the Equipment forum so I will probably post in both! Where would you recommend I go to buy reasonably priced hiking poles in Porto?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The best place is definitely Decathlon. You could go to Santa Catarina in downtown, or Matosinhos where there is a much bigger store.

Join our full-service guided tour of the Basque Country and let us pamper you!
Again, Decathlon. Cheap to good quality stuff. The stores are open every day, even Sundays.
The great Porto area has a few.

If you walk the coastal route the value of walking sticks is not very high. Even the central route is only hilly not a mountainous area. If you don't walk through Braga (another route from Porto) the next Decathlon will be in Vigo, which is not part of the central camino.

I bought poles at a great little outdoor supply shop in the historical centre of Porto:

Laventura
Website: laventura.pt
Address: Rua Trinidad Coelho n. 40
4050-618 Porto
Phone: 220 113 593

Wishing you Bom Caminho!

I saw on their facebook page that this store is closed as of May 2019.

Hola, I gearing up to start my 1st CdS and have seen people recommended sleeping bag liners to protect against bed bugs. Do these help or is it a myth? Should I add the extra weight of bringing one?
