Wooden tau Bracelet in Santiago - need help from fellow pilgrims

Camino Ingles (July 2014)
So I completed my first Camino in July (if you are REALLY bored, you can check out my blog on the trip at http://fromcouchtocamino.blogspot.com), and one of the keepsakes I brought back with me was a wooden Tau bracelet from one of the gift shops in town (see attached file). It was one of those fairly cheap but incredibly important item to me for more than just the spiritual reason. The Tau cross is, among other things, a sign of change and transformation and nothing is more appropriate after my Camino.

So here's the thing. I would like to have three more of these for my son and two close friends who helped me get ready for the trip (these or the necklaces with the same wooden cross), but cannot find them anywhere online. I found them in one of the gift shops near the cathedral, but there is no telling which one. So, with this near impossible job (yet nothing compared to completing the Camino of any distance!), I am looking for any one who would be willing to look for these and buy some for me (or if anyone can find these online or knows where I can find them). I am so serious that I am willing to pay more than the cost plus shipping for each.

I really want to be able to give one of these to my son, and since I wasn't able to bring my walking stick back, this has become my favorite and most cherished memento of this amazing trip.

If you are able or willing to help me, please message me here.

Thanks!

Jason

The Tau is closely associated with Saint Anthony of course but also with Saint Francis - I will copy/paste this earlier entry from the forum:
In 2014 the Franciscans of Santiago de Compostela celebrate the pilgrimmage of St. Francis of Assisi to the tomb of the Apostle St. James 800 years ago in the year 1214. To commemorate this special occasion they decided to issue the "Cotolaya" as a document in the style of the Compostela to pilgrims who reach Santiago. The "Cotolaya" is named after Cotolay who played a decisive role in the construction of the Franciscan monastary in the 13th century. Pilgrims may pick up their Cotolayas in the church's sacristy from 10-11 a.m. and from 6-7 p.m.
Meaning that if anyone knows where to find a Tau in Santiago it will be these people!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
ok, I have taken a photo of the photo you put on here.
I am willing to spend two hours looking for it near the cathedral, and I will ask in at the St Francis of Assisi as I want to get that certificate as well. Thanks for that info Scruffy!
And you want three braclets, right, yeah you do... i will do my best for you this afternoon.

The Tau is a symbol of the Franciscan Order, hence it's association with both St. Francis and St. Anthony (a Franciscan). If I were to venture to guess, I would say to check out the Franciscans in the area. Like many religious places here in the U.S., perhaps they have a gift shop.

I do hope someone finds a source for these. Good luck in your search.

That was so nice of you!

Do you remember the place where you found them? I would like to get one too when I am there in October.
