There's nothing available for less than $150. Should I just wing it and hope that the private albergues that are listed as pilgrim only will be available? Just trying to avoid a $40 wire fee if possible. But if not, that's still far less than $150 for a bed!

The Donativo here https://www.gronze.com/pais-vasco/guipuzcoa/zarautz/albergue-peregrinos-zarautz has 50 beds that would be one option as they are pilgrims only also.
Alternatively check if the private albergue will accept PayPal, no wire fees ;-)
Or re-arrange your stages and walk on to Getaria.

That one doesn't open until July 1 (unless you know something I don't ). I did mention PayPal, but the private Albergue in Getaria just sent me wire info.
