The Climb from Pamplona

Famous pilgrim artwork atop the mountain as you climb away from Pamplona. Its an idea site for that small bottle of wine and some cheese. Picture taken late April of 2013.

Oh I agree completely! That was my toughest day of the 12 days we spent on the Camino. I ended up videotaping my hiking boots tromping along the hot dusty trail as I muttered about the day!

The walk up the narrow trail was challenging but nothing compared to those rocks walking down the other side.
My husband had to descend it walking backwards while I guided him, his knees and shins were so sore! And we did the detour to Eunate before we hit Puente la Reina for the night! What a hot brutal day.
