Ponferrada to Santiago de Peñalba: Anyone interested in sharing a taxi tomorrow (9 May 2023)?

This is a long shot, I realize. But I will be walking into Ponferrada tomorrow, and I’d love to see this pre-Romanesque church, which is in a pretty remote area about 25 km from Ponferrada. I just called the tourist office in Ponferrada to ask how to get there (just in case there’s some new way since last time I was looking into it), and nope. He said taxi, which would likely cost around 70E, he thought, between the round trip and the taxi waiting there for me). The church is open every day but Mon. and Tues., 10-2 and 4:30-8. I’d be looking at an afternoon visit if I do this.

You can google it to read more about its historical and architectural significance, and I would even throw in my own explanations and info, if you’re interested. (I am a scholar who specializes in medieval Spain.)
