We are a family from Texas, USA. We have finished Portuguese Coastal Literal with our 20 year old college student. She needs a meningitis shot and to send the record to Texas university Heath department as soon as possible.
We are in Segovia, traveling to Barcelona. Does anyone know how to get this shot?
Thank you.

Orientated towards expats.
Might be of help.

Segovia and Barcelona are big cities. I think your best bet would be just to find a doctor and ask. They will at least know where you can get a meningitis shot even if they can´t administer it themselves and if they can´t speak English they will find someone who does. The other possibility is to ask the US consulate in Barcelona to help.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Doing a little quick reading:

The Texas Department of State Health Services website mentions the requirement, but not the specific vaccine. Another entry for high school students mentions the quadrivalent version (MCV4).

The CDC mentions 2 types of meningococcal vaccines. Reading between the lines, I think you want this one: Meningococcal conjugate or MenACWY vaccines (Menactra®, Menveo®, and MenQuadfi®)

Your problem will be whether that is available at all in Spain, and under what name. I don't know if travel clinics in Spain will have it, or would recognize the US names.

Having the (correct) immunisation administered in Spain should not be a problem but you should check with the university that the certificate will be accepted...
The Texas Department of State Health Services website is silent on this point but, if an exemption from the vaccine requirement is requested, it is clearly stated that the physician certifying this needs to be licensed to practise in the US.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Thank you. The university health department provided us with the form with required type for the student & medical to complete. We then email to uni. TIP: form must be in English. Barcelona in two days. Buen Camino to all.

Sounds like you´ve got everything sorted. If you don´t mind, we´ll close this post, just for the sake of tidiness. It will still be there for other people with a similar enquiry to see. Good luck to you all, and thanks to everyone who helped.
