€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Me too from early August. If you go onto the website for the ökumenischer Pilgerweg they have very good info and a beautiful guidebook with hand drawn and coloured maps and accommodation suggestions. It is all in German
.accommodation and food is very reasonably priced along this route, e g one can sleep on church galleries, in museums and even an art gallery for 5 to 10 euros per night. The first stop after Goerlitz which is a beautiful little town with World Heritage Status is a quirky barn which operates as a village cinema and shows documentary movies about life in the former Eastern Germany. I am really looking forward to walking this route and will keep my usual blog.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
I too have heard good remarks on this route, from German walkers I encountered. They were quite encouraging and enthusiastic, actually.

Hi all. I am 2 days away from completing this route from Goerlitz to Vacha. It has been most interesting and most economical. Will post more info in September when I am back home in NZ.

Please, do! Or create a blog.
I am looking for firsthand info and opinions on German routes.

I have the daily info for my walks on the German Jakobsweg route (Prague to Konstanz via Nurnberg and Ulm) on my blog. That's a different route from the one mentioned by the OP, that Gittihare is currently walking.

I have already planned a hike from Le Puy to SJPP and would like to look into adding the via Regia. Can some help with a possible itinerary like where to start and how to make connections from there to Le Puy and any other comments are appreciated. It sounds like an awesome route.
