Given how the wet weather comes off the Bay of Biscay and unpredictably slams into the Pyrenees just west of SJPP, one of the following will almost certainly occur in early June: (1) snow, (2) rain, (3) fog, or (4) glorious blue skies that are picture perfect. And regardless of the weather you get, it will undoubtedly be different from the weather the day before, and the weather the day after, you cross the Pyrenees. Buen Camino.

But the crops ripening in the fields and the colourful wildflowers by the Way will tell you that all in all it's the start of summer. Be prepared for a few hot days at least, with a hat, suncream and a water system that suits you. Don't be anxious, though - prepare well and you'll have the time of your life! Buen Camino!
