Nearly there! 25 April

Time of past OR future Camino
VDLP 2024
after 2 years thinking about walking the Camino and many hours reading this fabulous blog I am nearly there. I fly out of Sydney and arrive in SJPP on the 25 April.
One of the most valuable things I got from this forum was to not overplan so my plan is start walking and arrive in Santiago some 30+ days later.
Am I ready? Time will tell :)

Steve

Hi Steve. As another Steve from Australia, welcome.
I hope you enjoy your Camino, we did. The best advice is to take it easy and not walk too far each day.

Buen Camino, Steve. I'm beginning to countdown to my retirement (31 August) & starting my first Camino two weeks later. I can feel your excitement & I'm dying to get going myself.
Suzanne :)

I have tried for 4 weeks to contact 2 pilgrim hostels and not one of them will respond? Did any of you have that problem? The first was Beilari in SJPdP and the 2nd was Orisson? I going to try calling them.

You need to email Orrison, if you call them they won't take a reservation over the phone, I tried ;-). It took about a week for them to respond, but they did respond.

I emailed them last week and again today, but nothing. I was about to call them. It's good to know they won't make them over the phone I'll keep trying to email them. Thank you

I finally booked my first night in SJdP @ the Gite Azkorria (April 21st). Counting down the days now and praying in good enough shape to do this.
