Time of past OR future Camino
Not decided (may 20th2015)
can anyone help? We will arrive at Santander airport on the 20th of May at around 10am. We (seven of us) need to get to Burgios to start our pilgrimage. I know there is a bus but would it be very expensive to hire a taxi or a people carrier so that we can get there sooner? Thanks for any help. Anne

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I think a taxi might be the answer.

Two tips:

1) There are two routes: the shortest one is following road N-623 (just say por El Escudo to the driver and s/he will know) but a longer one meaning a detour through Aguilar de Campoo is popular among locals because it's made partly on a dual carriage highway and because it avoids El Escudo mountain pass (if you prefer this one say por Aguilar de Campoo to the driver and s/he should know). Be sure to make clear what route you prefer. The route through Aguilar de Campoo is roughly 30 kms longer than the other one.

2) Ask for the fare beforehand.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

That's good to know. 30kms saved will impact on the bill. Thank you so much for your help. Anne
