We arrive atBiarritz airport at 17.05. I have looked up the train/bus and if we get 17.57 to Bayonne and then bus at 18.06 (as no train the new) is this viable? looked at expressbourricot but this is only cheap if a few share so train cheaper. Thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I got express Bouricott and it was 18€, I asked for a shared taxi and they filled it for me. If you look at the bottom of express Bouricott Web page it will show if taxi has been booked for that evening already and how much it is at the moment, when I booked mine it was 27 and 18 when the day came.

If your flight arrives on time ... and there are no delays in deplaning, customs, and baggage ...

And you are able to get a taxi ...

You MIGHT make the 1806 bus from Gare Bayonne to SJPdP.

But I doubt it.

If you try it I would suggest that you have a viable plan B. (such as staying in Bayonne and catching the early bus to SJPdP in the morning)

The bus from Biarritz Airport to Gare Bayonne takes more than a half hour. There is no way you will get to Gare Bayonne by Chronoplus or Transports64 bus in time to catch the SNCF bus to SJPdP.

Unfortunately expressbourricot have replied to say they have no transport available. Bit stuck now as booked to stay in at Jean and really do not want to change our schedule. Not to worry I will sort something out.

The train leaves Biarritz train station at 17.41 - if we get airport bus and get straight through customs is it doable?

The TER line 62 bus (not train) for SJPdP leaves from the BAYONNE rr station/Gare SNCF. For your date 3 July in the afternoon/evening there is a bus leaving at 18:06 and 21:10. Journey time is roughly 1 and 1/2 hours.

Bon voyage and Buen camino!

Shauna how big is your pack? Mine was 33l with potential to be 40l and I took it on board. So literally walked off the plane and straight to clearance which was hardly 5 mins que. Biarritz airport is a very small airport.

I'm using information for 24 June 2015 as I don't see your dates of travel.

Chronoplus bus C goes from Biarritz (Anglet) Airport to Gare de Biarritz.
dep 1727 - arr 1736

SNCF TER train goes from Gare Biarritz to Gare Bayonne.
dep 1747 - arr 1755

It might work. 22 minutes ... I don't think you are going to have enough time to get off the plane, through customs, and onto the bus. In my experience planes almost never arrive on time. But don't let my opinion deter you from trying.

Chronoplus bus 14 goes from Biarritz (Anglet) Airport to Gare de Bayonne.
dep 1730 - arr 1810 ... too late

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Sorry forgot to put date. We land on 2 July. I think we will just aim to get the Chronoplus bus at 1727 and then as long as train arrives in Bayonne for 1755 we can get 1806 to SJPDP. If it comes to it we can get later train as room booked for that night!

Our packs are only 26l so should get out of airport quickly.
