Hi Jennifer,
I am so happy for you, I bought my flight tickets 2 weeks ago. The camino feels more real now and exciting.
I wish you luck, I leave Ottawa on the 23 of April. I am taking it easy, spending 40 days to walk the camino since I am a slow walker.
Buen Camino

Rupe, I arrive early the 4th then take the train to Bayonne and taxi the same day to SJPdP. I hope to use the train time to sleep. Also I might do a short day to Orisson on the 5th if necessary.

It's March 12. Look up Canadian Company of Pilgrims on Facebook to get the details. I'll try to get the location to post today.
Thanks! I googled the website but it's down till February 26.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Jennifer! As an alternative to taking a taxi for your last leg, I know that there are several trains per day which travel from Bayonne to St Jean Pied de Port. The cost is around 10 Euros and the travel time is 1 hour. Here is the site: http://www.voyages-sncf.com/billet-train
It'll save you 'mucho dinesros' - ha!
Buen Camino!

Thanks. I'll definitely see if I can time it right. I don't want to stay overnight in Bayonne so whatever works for the least cost!

When is this? I would like to attend!
Austin Cooke who heads the local Ottawa Pilgrims Association. Have copied it so as to inform you of the upcoming meeting on March 12, from 10 am to 4:30 pm .

A short day to Orisson is a good idea, however, don't forget to book if you want to stay there. It is a great place to stay and get to know other pilgrims at the shared meal in the evening.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Can you tell me..do most fly to CDG or can you fly closer to SJPDP?

You can take plane from Paris to Biarritz which is close to SJPdP. Air France flies from Paris/Orly and EasyJet from Paris/CdG. See www.Rome2Rio.com for more info.

Bon voyage and Buen camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
