Embalse de Tajo, AVE and A Gudina

Can anyone tell me what the situation with the accommodation near the Embalse de Tajo is?
Will the camino from A Gudina still be closed after Easter this year?
Is there information concerning the construction of the train track (AVE) that impacts the VDLP camino this year?

The Camino after A Gudina wasn't really closed if you mean stage to Campobecerros and Laza. True that there was info board that said so but that was mostly because of the construction works on AVE line and a lot of trucks were on the road. That means it wasn't closed as such because it runs on the tarmaced road but they (Asociacion/Ayuntamiento?) wanted to re-route pilgrims via Verin for their safety.
Just walk on the left of the road (depends on the left or right bend of course) facing trafic and you'll be OK

It was also my experience in March last year that the Camino after A Gudiña wasn't really closed and you could walk the normal route without any problems.

As regards Embalse de Tajo, or Alcántara, as far as I know the albergue is still closed and the guest house only really deals with groups.

We expected to find problems on the stage out of A Gudina in October 2016 but instead, once out of town it was well marked and perhaps one of the most beautiful camino days (and there are lots on the VDLP) there was stunning scenery and it was a fabulous walk. Here's my blog for that day... https://caminobrassblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/27/i-cant-tell-you-dont-ask/ There is a fair bit of tarmac along a reasonably quiet road, although there are the lorries from the construction site... but you can just step off the road, or step in a bit and pause then they pass... it was a fabulous day

We took the bus to skip the Alcántara stage as we couldn't find accommodation and my walking buddy was not up to at 30+km day ... but pilgrims walking with us walked the stage and met us later at Cañaveral.

The only section that we found a problem with arrows was from Padornelo to Lubian... it was a terrible day and the weather was dreadful which didn't help. https://caminobrassblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/25/well-that-was-interesting/

The train track is still under construction, but they have made what appears to be a permanent diversion, which is a bit boring but takes away any problems. The albergue at the reservoir is still closed and unlikely to open in 2017. I have posted a resource on a strategy for doing this stage in the Camino Resources tab.
