I came across this in my daily reading today and thought the forum at large might be interested.

I hope our Irish friends can use this, and soon... It follows the traditional route taken by Celts in their small boats, but avoids coast-hugging. One wonders if you can use this to start your Camino in Ireland and connect to a land route once you hit Spain...

Yes you can this if you start your Celtic Camino in Ireland and carry on from Santander. One point of note however, it is not a cruise ferry as they refer to those leaving from Plymouth. I would however imagine that if it is popular enough they would put a better class of ship on the route. I had planned to use it to return from my recent camino but due to an accident, I had to return early by plane

I had heard of this. I was a bit disappointed to read the following:
I’m afraid that due configuration of the ship, with a limited number of available cabins, we initially cannot accommodate foot passengers on the route.
