Hi,
I am starting the Camino Mozárabe from Almería on Monday next, Oct. 8th. Anybody else starting around this date or in the early stages of this Camino. Are there many peregrinos on this Camino at the moment and is there any pressure on accommodation? What are temperatures like at the moment? I hope to walk as far as Mérida in 25 Kms stages as far as possible.
Regards,
John.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi, John,

Check the Mozarabe sub-forum. Just few days ago forum member @BeatriceKarjalainen ended Mozarabe but I forgot where she started from. Here's her Instagram link: https://www.instagram.com/beastankar/ (scroll back to day 01).
There was also one larger group of forum members that walked Mozarabe (and I think that was from Almeria) this spring. Check @peregrina2000 postings and her blog.

Buen Camino!

I was thinking of doing it @Lavdrum, starting about the 15th, but decided against it because it is so solitary. So heading for Lisbon and the Portuguese instead.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Kanga, will you be blogging on this Camino? I'd love to follow your progress reports as you go along! It may help with my own planning for going in April, although after walking the Fisherman's Way first, I'll be starting the Portuguese in Porto.

I guess you started today? I walked the same route, departing at the very end of September last year. Daytime temperatures could still be quite hot, so make sure you have plenty of water for the long stages (e.g. La Peza to Quentar and Alcaudete to Baena). At altitude, you could have some quite fresh nights (e.g. Alquife), but there are blankets in the albergues.
I doubt that there will be any pressure on accommodation. I didn't meet any other pilgrims for the first week of my walk. But it is important to call in advance to ensure that the people with the keys are expecting you and can arrange to let you in.
Are you in contact with the Camino Association in Almeria? They are true Camino Angels, who will provide every assistance to you on your way as far as Granada - Veronica speaks English.
Buen Camino!
