PAMPLONA: Pilgrim tour and blessing now offered! (April 25-October 25)

Time of past OR future Camino
Frances, Portuguese, Aragon, Norte, SJWayUK, Nive
Today (April 25, 2019) marks the first day that the evening meetup of Pilgrims is available for those staying in Pamplona. Local hosts greet pilgrims in front of the Cathedral at 1730, followed by a FREE guided tour of the Cathedral and then a shared prayer and blessing at a nearby chapel at 1800. If you choose, they will then escort you to St Saturnino church for mass at 1900.

It was a very nice evening and a nice reception in such a large city. Don’t miss the Pamplona Pilgrims’ Assistance Office (next to St Saturnino, open only for a brief time in the evening) and the nearby site of the well where St Fermín was one of the first Catholics baptized in the city.

PS: Thursday is JacobPintxo night: a pintxo and beer/wine for 2€-3€ at many restaurants in old town! 👍

I'm in Pamplona today and tomorrow (taking a day to catch up on work - my crazy self decided to do walk while still teaching online classes/hauling a computer around ). Bummed I missed this tonight, but will definitely plan on going tomorrow before continuing the walk Monday morning! Thanks for sharing!
