my Camino april 2015
I got my plane ticket sorted out last night. (I'm suprised the prices had not gone up since it is only 17 days away). I will be coming thru Madrid on the 14th and plan to be in Orisson on the 15th. I have heard the Napoleons Route pass is still closed, I have hopes of it clearing by then.- kjbug

my Camino april 2015
I missed it in 2013 too. But got as far as Orisson before having to switch to the Val Carlos route. The scenery to Orisson was lovely! Going to try again this year...maybe. I have a reservation at Orisson on the 15th, but so far no plane ticket...- kjbug

Class of 2013
Madrid was interesting since I had never been there. Customs was a breeze! I jumped on a bus which took me to the downtown train station. From there I walked 2 1/2 blocks to an early check in at AC (Marriott) . Decided to try to stay up all day since I didn't feel jet lagged. Went out...- kjbug

Class of 2013
So like I said above, I went in late April via Madrid, Pamplona and on up to SJPP, then walked back thru Pamplona to Santiago (arrived June 4th), flew back thru Madrid. Next year I am considering going in the fall, via Paris. I'm wondering about the bed bugs and rain in the fall, anyone know?- kjbug

Sunrise in Spain right now.
Oh, I forgot to mention. Although I never used the borrowed headlamp, when I left home I did put fresh batteries in it. When I got home 6 weeks later, the batteries were dead. Note to self, after checking to make sure everything works, remove the batteries at least until you get to Spain...- kjbug

I took a headlamp when I started in late April from SJPP. Never used it. But then I was usually the last one out the door in the morning.
