    Hello from the Philippines

Welcome to the forum! There is no registration system for people walking on the Camino. You need to have an official "credencial" (pilgrim "passport") but you simply fill that in and get it stamped en route. A search on the forum for "schengen philippines" gives these results, which might help.

Schengen Requirement to show €100 per day upon entry to Spain?

Commonwealth SE Asian countries do enjoy more freedom of movement on short visits to Europe (not just the UK) so I think that was the historical connection.
