Schengen Visa for Filipino to do Camino

Hi

I dont suppose anyone knows about how Filipino can do Camino? its not for me as I am English its for my girlfriend who lives in Philippines.

I have found this website https://www.schengenvisainfo.com and emailed info.mnl@blshelpline.com but I would like to sponsor her to complete Camino.

Has anyone done this process before?

I can't find that Philippine citizens need special visa for Schengen (Spain is part of it) area of the EU. Maybe I missed something and other might chime in but I would say that your GF doesn't need any.

The other thing is Schengen rule for foreign citizen which means 90 days stay in 180 days. It's a so-called "sliding rule", meaning that for example you come in Schengen on 01.05.2019 and left it (for Thailand or wherever) after 30 days you still have 60 days upon arrival back to Schengen. BUT only in those 180 days period which starts at your first entry to Schengen.

After you leave Schengen withing the "first entry + 180 days" you can enter it again, for numerous times. Until you "use" all your 90 days.

And you can't enter Schengen again until 90 days after you either filled up those 90 days (in one pack) or 90 (in more shorter visits) within 180 days. I know, it's kind of complicated to understand...

I talked to a official at our Ministry of Internal Affairs just last week about that and it is quite simple, but it is not
If you want to stay longer there's no problem certain country would issue you a visa (a real visa!) for longer stay. But you will have to prove "something" (the reason to stay) and I think even pay for it. And of course it will take some time too...

Hi There,

I have made two pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostella with my then Vietnamese girlfriend now wife in 2013 and 2015. Both times she applied for and received a Schengen visa. We applied through the French Consulate both times and flew initially to Paris.

We were required to provide copies of return Flights and Train tickets as well as a day by day itinerary which had to include intended transport and accommodation for every day and night. We provided references and quite a bit of supporting information. This is not quite as hard as it sounds, this forum provides a list of accommodation along with prices, address and contact numbers and the Brierley Guide Book provides the stages. We provided an exact itinerary but did not book for the Camino part of our trips but did provide an explanation of what the Camino was.

The Schengen visa received was for the tour described by us which also included a self guided tour of Paris and Bruge plus 2 weeks extra. Interestingly once you arrive in Paris there is no requirement to actually go on the tour that you have painstakingly created.

I hope this is of some assistance, it was a pedantic process but not impossible.

It doesn't matter who's her sponsor. As long as she's of legal age she has to apply (if at all) herself. Maybe she's 44 and a distant relative is sponsoring her Camino and that's something EU/Schengen officials just don't care about
But if she's not of legal age then you're in for something completely else...

I’m Zen! I’m just wondering how your visa application with your GF (ph passport holder) went? I have the same issue as well. My boyfriend wanted to sponsor my trip to camino probably this year or the next. With all this covid virus travel restrictions. I’ve been reading all articles about the Schengen visa Application for ph passport holder and the Stuffs like that. But unfortunately I am quite not getting concrete answers from it.
