Hi Helen,
we stayed at a rural casa close to Armenteira, Casa Carballo do Prado 1900, the host picks you up at the monastery and puts you back on track next morning. Lovely place !,
friendly hosts , good food and a beautifull wax stamp !
Buen Camino!
Christel and Marc
Last year we walked the CP from Porto to Santiago and later on to Fisterra via Muxia both fantastic experiences, my wife mostly without and me with hiking poles. For me they provided stability when needed and support for the weight one is carrying. I can only recommend from my own experience...
We finished our first Camino 2 weeks ago, From Porto , Litoral combined with Coastal and took the taxi boat over to Spain as ferry broke down. Continued along the coast via A Guarda and stayed at Santa Maria de Oia at Casa Puertas , not an albuergue but what a fantastic place, highly recommend...
W´re one week back from our first Camino, CP litoral/coastal which indeeds overlaps here and there and it was beautifull, not crowded, at Pontevedra we switched to the Spiritual variant less people but oh so beautifull, recommend it to everyone!
So we finished our Camino Litoral combined with the Costa + the Variante Espiritiual on 29/05 and it was simply AMAZING, WONDERFULL, INSPIRING and SPIRITUAL,
our first but hopefully not our last Camino.
Thanks again for the advise received !
Marc and Christel
Thanks for sharing your experience and for the good advise!, we have one day of only 11km on which we should be able to take some rest, also on the spiritual we have the boat trio which is also a less intensive day.
Buen Camino too and maybe see you on the way!
Thank you Elle!
We were indeed planning on walking out of Porto via the litoral as i read a lot of pro´s about this way, will certainly look further into it via your links!
Hi Woody,
Thanks and looking at the stops distances should be quite similar we are also staying our first night at Caravela!
We also booked private rooms , partly for same reason, we booked ahead ad it looks many pilgrims will be on route then
