Hi all! As I am coming to the end (?!) of my Camino I have started to think about the next part of my journey. I will be getting a flight from Madrid to Rome and was wondering if there may be some albergue style accommodation available for this pilgrim who doesn't want the camino feeling to...
I am on that Camino Frances now (started on 25th June) and have never had a bed problem, even after arriving past 6pm on a couple of days! I just think don't worry or stress; there is always a solution ;)
I am leaving Lourdes tomorrow morning for the 5 hour train ride to SJPdP. And then getting started the following day to Orisson. Hope to catch you on the Way Steph. Buen Camino x
Perfect Introibo! That's just the info I was looking for. Yes, I'll be getting the train from Lourdes; not quite brave enough to walk from there with my extremely limited understanding of French :)
Hi all!
So I am starting my Camino this coming Wednesday, flying into Lourdes for a couple of days and then taking the train to SJPdP on Friday. I will then start walking to Orisson on Saturday. As the beginning gets closer, more and more questions are popping up in my head and I am becoming as...
I'm travelling at the end of June from Lourdes to SJPdP and was wondering whether it is necessary for me to pre-book train tickets and if the cost would be that different?
I've used it a fair few times and never had issues; I think as I get older I let my nerves get the best of me. I should trust my instincts more ;)
Thanks Annie! I'll certainly have a look and try to book by the end of this week. I'm quite excited to begin my camino here as there has always...
I am walking my first Camino (Frances) at the end of June and then am looking to fly out to Rome but after reading this I am very tempted to try my hand at the last part of the via Francigena. I have a pretty good grasp of Italian and love exploring the lesser known places in Italy :) I'll...
Thanks for that! I am still waiting for a reply and becoming a bit anxious so will try giving them a call. Will it be a problem that I don't speak French?
I have no knowledge on the route as I am doing my first ever Camino (Frances) in June, however I have been learning Italian. When are you leaving? Two things that I think are fantastic for learning it, even if it's just the basics, are https://www.duolingo.com/ and...
Don't worry....TP is firmly back on the 'non-negotiable' part of my packing list! But it'll only be half a roll with the inner cardboard removed ...space saving ;) Fingers-crossed to don't have an 'emergency' need for it!
...bud are Q tips! Thought it'd be kind of necessary considering I'd be wearing ear plugs and also on the occasions where I might use my make up!
*Oh, I shan't be bringing a hairbrush as I'll be cutting my hair very short so I think fingers will do! And thanks for mentioning the benedryl! I...
Haha, I thought the same thing! I don't think I like the thought of having my pee near my face frankly! Although, I do now think only one of these items will be necessary.
Thanks all..definitely given me food for thought already! :D
Great thinking on the travel insurance...it's just a lazy habit that I have to take all my papers
Side bag, as in a small handbag (Something less bulky that my bum bag)...although you are right this can be sacrificed for the...
My Camino (Frances) starts in a couple of months time so I am trying (rather excitedly) to get myself well prepared. I will be flying into Lourdes, where I will stay for a couple of days, and then get the train to St Jean. After I finish I am hoping to fly over to Italy where I will spend some...
