I can't say that I am happy that others have had a similar experience, because this is not what you want on this journey... nonetheless, it's behind us now and I have an amazing road ahead. Today was much better in Logroño, and I have grown to be so much more appreciative! This is the best time...
The group that I am currently with decided that instead of staying in Los Arcos, we would continue onto Torres del Rio, to make the next day easier. When we arrived in the town, we were so relieved as it was a long day of walking and we were all starving. A woman came to us and told us to come...
Hi all,
So I am starting my Camino in 2 days from Pamplona but I still have some questions:
1) I arrive at 8pm to Pamplona. I already have my credencial. Should I go straight to an albergue? Or would I have to spend that night in a hostel? I guess my question is would I be allowed to stay in...
Thank you all for being so helpful! I must say that this community is incredibly supportive! My fitness is rather good - I am in the habit of walking about 20km daily in various terrains. Once I get to Pamplona will I need to register somewhere, or just turn up at the albergue?
Hi all,
So I was originally going to do the Norte route in April/May, but due to a sudden change of circumstances, I will now have to start asap as my next adventure has come up much sooner than anticipated. I have now decided that I will do the Camino Frances and start in Pamplona. I have...
I am starting in the week after Easter from Biarritz. I think if I was to go from Oviedo to Leon I would go by bus considering it's safer. There are regular buses going that way. But don't let that stop you from making your own adventure. Remember it's your camino!
Thanks for the info guys. I see that there are regular buses between Oviedo and Leon, so that could be a safer option... like I said, just looking at options, in case I want to experience Frances as well... is it alright to 'jump across' like that? But yea, I'm easy going about this whole thing...
Hi, I'm planning on walking the Camino del Norte in April, but is it possible to walk from Oviedo to Leon along the Camino San Salvador in the opposite direction to join up with the Camino Frances? Just looking at options. I know that I'll only decide at the fork in the road.
Cheers
Hi guys, thanks for all the help. I am planning on doing the CdN because it passes through San Sebastian, and it's kind of a joke between my friend, Sebastian, and myself that I'll be going through San Sebastian, sans Sebastian. Unfortunately he isn't able to join me. I'm not that techno-savvy...
Hi there, I'm planning on doing the Camino del Norte in April/May 2015. Is it possible to start this camino in Biarritz? If not, do you suggest hiking from Biarritz to Irun? Do you collect your credencial in Irun, and if so, where? And finally, what is the average length of this camino? I'm...
