The guide is mainly in Spanish, but there are maps, stage profiles and phone numbers of albergues and hostals.

After Almeria - Merida last April, I am now thinking about Sevilla-Salamanca, maybe Zamora, in October. What can I expect regarding weather, daylight times, crowds (if any), (closure of) albergues. Much thanks for your help and advice.
The Amigos from Sevilla have created an alternative first stage, to walk after heavy rains when the arroyo before Guillena is impossible to cross. From what I understand from the Spanish, the alternative is signposted with yellow arrows. The first stage is about 4 to 6 kilometers longer (25-27...
Good news for future pilgrims on the Via de la Plata. It seems that provincial authorities are working on a new route after Castilblanco de los Arroyos, avoiding the long road walking. From the Spanish link I understand that there are 157.000 euros from agricultural funds available for this...
In April I walked the Camino Mozarabe from Almeria to Merida (650 km) in 27 stages.
It was a sometimes tough but all in all very rewarding walk with all the beautiful landscapes of Andalusia and Extremadura, from the very dry east near Almeria through the mountains to Granada (plenty of views...
Has anyone seen Diny Patelski (65) from Voerendaal in the Netherlands? Dutch media report that she is missing after leaving SJPLP on 12 May.

The Amigos from Almeria have issued a warning for high water in the Nacimiento River and to follow the road between Alboloduy and Abla. When I was there last April it was completely dry, but now there is a lot of water. See the picture of what is normally the Camino...
On 2 April I set out from Almeria to Merida. The route is very well signposted. All stage places now have albergues or hostals. The new one in Guadix, in a lovely old house in the centre, opened a few months ago. Members of the Almeria associacion keep each other informed on the progress of the...
In April I will walk from Almeria to Merida along the Camino Mozarabe. I found here the walking guide of Kevin O'Brien, and also on Internet a good looking English language description from Alcaudete to Merida, made by the Association of Cordoba who have a lot of other information on their site...
