What is the one Albergue that you would say not to miss

I was in Ligonde in 2006 and 2007, it was a wonderful place and was great to stay there. Before Ligonde we stayed in Portomarin, would skip Portomarin and head straight to Ligonde next time Top Albergue.

    April 2013

I would prefer Goretex shoes. And gaiters . Way better than plastic over your shoes. Plastic doesnot breath. And you will be wet inside. I know goretex shoes are a bit expensive. But good walking gear is a must for walking the camino. That has been my experience in walking the camino. Cheers

Well , am not sure about following a guide book along the way. We have noticed people following the guide book to the letter and this makes the albergues full in where the group moves with the book in hand. Its good to read but not following it to the letter. Regards Bharat

One of the most intriguing places on the camino is O cebreiro. Always feels mystic (misty as well) The other place that made a great impact on me was El Acebo.
