Thank you for this suggestion. Since I’m starting to walk on the 26th of October, I just need to decide if it’s worth the struggle of going the Napoleon route to Roncesvalles in one day. I’ve done it twice. Beautiful but difficult. Never been on the valcarlos route.
Thank you joker for your response. I was just a little concerned about what’s available in a month that has many places closing. I can’t walk at any other time due to scheduling issues so November it is. I also discovered nothing open on the Napoleon route so I’m going through valcarlos where...
As I’m starting to get some reservations in line for my November camino on CF, just wondering how difficult it is to find a private room after October 31.
Would like to stay in both albergues and private rooms.
I hope you have a wonderful Camino as you are just getting started. I’m planning on walking in late October. The napoleon route will most likely be closed. I’d like to know about accommodations on the valcarlos, if you are staying at one of the places. Take care.
Hello all. I’m walking from SJP in late October. Orisson closes after the 15th of October. Any recommendations if I want to stop before Roncesvalles? Should I just go the Valcarlos route? Thanks for any suggestions. Frank
Just wondering if it is difficult finding private rooms during the last week of October through the middle of December: pensions, B and B’s, hotels, etc?
I’m assuming I will need to have warm clothes. Are there many pilgrims walking at this time? I’ve done the Camino in the month of October and...
I'm planning a Camino this October into November. How easy is it to get a taxi along the Way, especially in small villages? I need to eliminate three stops to fit the timeframe I have, so I'm planning on skipping three stops before Leon, using Brierley. I have to have a definite schedule, since...
Thank you ALL for responding to my question about blood thinners. My doctor told me nothing should prevent me from walking on my third Camino. He put me in touch with a "blood doctor" who will recommend other forms of relief from muscular pain than IBProfan. Each camino is so important for me...
I was just treated for blood clots in lungs. I am fine but must take blood thinners. The doctors told me to NOT take any Ibprofan, a must for pain relief. I walked the Camino in 2012 and 2014 and hope to walk this Fall. Have any if you walked while taking blood thinners? What might be a...
