    Here's to life's challenges! First Camino, starting May 4

    I will continue to walk Caminos till I can't. At 67 my pace is a little slower. I plan on walking the Portuguese central next October. In 2020 when my wife retires we are talking about going to Jerusalem and then to Rome and walk to Santiago from Rome.

    Minimal luggage?

    Purchases are not as expensive as you might think. They are comparable to what we pay here at home. Except for the exchange rate if you need one. I use a 38 liter kit.

    I live in the Seattle area actually 'University Place'. We walked Winter 2016 from SJPdP to Finisterra. We are walking from Porto in October 2019.

    First Camino this year

    It took 33 days and that pushing it. because of time constraints. Why longer : to stop and enjoy more of Spain to smell the roses. Our next walk I will be retired, but not my wife. She suggested I stay longer, if I do I will spend some more time in England with my daughter and grandson.

    Planning first walk - April 2019

    Spring is really wet and cold, rain, hail and snow unless it is a dry year , but the weather is unpredictable. We had I particularly warm sunny day and when we woke up at the Albergue to start there was 4 inches of snow and it snowed all day. Jus'sayin.
