SaraB,
You will positively love the Caminho Português! The Portuguese people are so friendly, the food is delicious and the scenery is breathtaking.
I've walked it two times already and will be leading another tour group through Portugal this July. I will be leading my group along the coast...
Hi all,
I'm walking 2 Caminos this year. My first will be in April, 2014 - the Portugues. My second Camino will be in August, 2014 and that will be the Ingles/Finesterre/Muxia.
I completed the Frances last October and have continued training every day since I returned.
I love the Camino and...

Last year I stayed in Hotel Itzalpea, in the heart of St. Jean Pied de Port. It was very nice.

There is also the Logis Hotel Ramuntcho just up the street from the Pilgrims Office, a friend stayed there, also very nice.
Buen Camino!
Hi all, I'm Arlene, Coordinator for the Old Pueblo Chapter of APOC here in Tucson, Arizona. I walked the Camino Frances last year and will be returning to walk again on September 16th this year. I will be starting from Logrono on the morning of September 17th. Sure do hope to meet up with...
Hi Kathie,
I know what you mean about being afraid of bears, my fear is that of rattlesnakes. I was hiking here in the desert of Tucson until I almost stepped onto a very large rattlesnake. Now I'm out of the desert proper and onto the more travelled dirt and paved roads. Thankfully I live in...
Howdy,
I'm Arlene and will be walking the Camino Frances beginning on September 16th this year. I walked the Camino last year during the same time frame - September and October are beautiful months on the Camino!
Hi,
Did you know there is a newly formed chapter of American Pilgrims right here in Tucson. We will be meeting on Sunday the 24th of February in the Total Wine Store in the Park Place Mall. Why not come and join us? There will be several pilgrims there who will be leaving for the Camino, we...
Hi Pandadds,
I also walked from SJPP to Burgos last year. My Camino was in September 2012
I will be returning in September 2013 to complete the Camino and receive my Compostela :D
Another pilgrim and I are forming a chapter of American Pilgrims on the Camino right here in Tucson...

Please consider using a baggage taxi....you won't get a gold star for schlepping a heavy pack across Spain. In my humble opinion it is the only way to go especially for us pilgrims with knee problems.
Hi Poppz,
Yes the day is rapidly approaching. I leave on Tuesday (Aug 28th) to spend a few days with my children and grandchildren in NJ. Then on the 1st I leave for the Camino. I will arrive in SJPdP on Sept. 2nd.
Sure do know what you mean about an exciting adventure, but I'm so looking...
Hi Merryecho and Bozzie,
I'm starting my Camino on Sept 4th leaving from SJPdP. Look for me along the way, I've allowed 2 months to get to Santiago so you'll probably catch up with me in a couple of days. I have a burgundy pack with three patches, forum, Americans on the Camino and...
Hey Poppz,
I'm flying into Dublin from NJ and then flying Ryanair from Dublin to Biarritz. Look for a flight to Dublin the change of airlines isn't supposed to be bad at all in Dublin. Then you can get a shuttle Van from Biarritz to St. Jean.
