Finished my 6 day camino. LOVED IT.
But got a blister in the crease under my big toe.
Never had one like that before.
How are they caused?
I wore the same shoes for weeks, and same type/make of socks.
Only difference was multiple day walking?
Any advice on how to stop in the future?
Yeah, was wearing wrong socks and new shoes.
But that's all changed. I've had old blisters do that before, old skin fell off.
Didn't do anything and it wasn't OK.
But just wasn't sure because I'm walking the camino now.
Hi, walking the camino at the minute, just walking 2 days.
I had a blister about a month ago which healed. It didn't burst I used compeed and it went away.
But when I took my socks off today the old skin has come away. New skin underneath is fine, and it's not sore at all.
Would you tape it over...
I start my camino next week.
All my "training" walks have been in cool weather 5'c - 12'c.
I've noticed temps are in mid 20s c next week.
Any extra tips other than drink water, take your time and wear a hat for dealing with heat when you are not used to it?
Thanks
Sorry if wrong place.
I'm 4 weeks out from starting the camino.
Starting to up the training kilometres.
Weather forecast for next 2 weeks is heavy rain.
Any tips for alternative training or is it a case of just suck it up and put on the rain gear and get out?
Main concern is walking for 2...
6 weeks to go and visit to docs confirms Plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis.
Off to the physio.
Was just about to up kilometres for training now this.
Not ideal, but that's part of things. Sort it out and move on.
