We moved online, like many others, more info here: http://egeria.house/the-camino-chaplaincy-goes-online/ and hope to 'meet' you tomorrow: http://egeria.house/the-camino-chaplaincy-goes-online/

Hi everybody,
It will come as no surprise that we have postponed the start of our chaplaincy (planned was after Easter) at the moment. Chaplains are still willing to come but with travel bans popping up more and more, we really don't know when they would be allowed to travel here and allowed to...
We got a mention here on our suffragan bishop's blog: http://eurobishop.blogspot.com/2020/02/caring-for-gods-creation-archdeaconry.html
He was a bit too positive as we are 'only' into our second season, preparing the third one just now, but all the rest is accurate!

In that case and if you are anywhere close to Saint James Day here in Santiago, you should book your accommodation asap. No joke, the city will be FULL!

Hopefully mass will be held in the cathedral by then again ;-) and so far you can always pray at the tomb. Also, remember, I hold the keys to Santa Susana and, with enough advance warning, you can celebrate mass there ;-)
BC SY
Yes, you can enter the cathedral, pray at the tomb and hug the apostle. There is no mass in the cathedral itself, but there is an 11:00 mass in the Corticela. For the rest, see the article linked/translated above ;-)

Quick update: I walked today past the cathedral and the work on the (outside) entrance to the Holy Door is now finished and you can see it beautifully!

Here an article I found:https://www.elcorreogallego.es/santiago/ecg/mil-hora-catedral-punto-antes-31-diciembre/idEdicion-2020-01-10/idNoticia-1222952/
"A "thousand per hour" for the Cathedral to be ready before December 31
Confidence that the works will finish before the start of the Holy Year...
And like always, if you need help with anything in Santiago, and especially when Pilgrim House is closed, feel free to contact me and I do my best to help you:

You and your lot are always, always welcome - in whatever little or much you want to join in. Don't want to join a service? Just join the shared meal ;-) or a tasty glass/mug of something ;-)
