- Time of past OR future Camino
- 2012, 2015 ,2017, 2019
I did not expect to get butterflies already... but I am going through a roller coaster of emotions. This is not my first Camino, so until a few days ago, I actually have been rather low key about it. I have helped others to get ready for their Camino and keep following via facebook or blogs and feel happy and excited for them, especially when all the talking we did is working out well.
So, this morning, the magic 1st of the month rolls around and it hits me... July 1st will be my day; And all of a sudden, I go through a host of emotions. Hubby says, are you nervous.. I say, just a bit.. he says, good, I was wondering, you have been so quiet about it.
My pre-Camino check list is rather simple.... pack the old backpack with the stuff from last time, minus the warm clothing. Make a decision about tech gear (still unsure). Keep up the walks as the mood strikes me.. I am remarkable ok after a 15-20km walk, even the little hills don't bother me that much anymore. My leg healed fine (I don't know why people still worry)
Try to negotiate with Dr. that I might not need to take that stupid med whilst there... the difference of being 60 and 63, darnit.
Ticket: check, Insurance: check, Money: check, contact info of friends on Camino: check, stuff for hospitalera duties: check.
What else is there but to know, that each day is taking me closer to my departure, and once I have arrived on the Camino, it will be like a home coming... a daily celebration of life, magic, friendship and Camino blessings.
Isn't Life Beautiful!
