Frances (2023)
Hiyall,

My name is Matthew and I did the Camino Frances from St. Jean to Compostella this spring. I plan to go back again in the Spring of 2021.

I'm looking for 11cmx11cm conch shell ceramic tiles. Not the magnets, the tiles. I'm looking to purchase, like 100, maybe 200 of them. Really. I brought a few back with me and have used them up in all manner of art projects. I've researched the previous posts on this website concerning these tiles (most posts are so stale that it made me feel terminally unique) and hit dead ends. The online peregrinoteca only has a few tiles but will not ship to Illinois in the U.S.A., where I happen to reside. Amazon.com only has one tile. That's right. One.

See what I mean by terminally unique? I'm dying here. Any help for me?

Lemme know,

Or maybe @ivar who runs this forum and lives in SDC may be able to help. I know that the tourist shops have plenty.

The cost of shipping that many from Europe would be prohibitive because of the weight, unless one went for economy - by ship - but that takes six weeks or so. I think that I could source them for you from Spain but I too think you would do much better to use a local artisan.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-

David,
Thanks for the input, I'll be looking into it,
Matthew

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
When we saw these in the shops of Santiago we were disappointed that the yellow used was a much deeper shade than found on the real waymarkers, so we only bought one.
You might get a better colour match by having them made to you own specification

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
If you want authentic Spanish this company can make to order - http://www.ceramicarosi.com

Ceramics have been transported over long distances since long before the Romans so as long as they are packed properly there should be no problem shipping them.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Buy plain blank common tiles and glaze them yourself. Use a stencil to create the pattern. Find a local ceramics shop to fire them for you.

those are the 'official' colours:
Pantone Blue 072 c / CMYK 100 95 0 3 / RGB 16 6 159 / #10069F / RAL 5002
Pantone Yellow c / CMYK 0 1 100 0 / RGB 254 221 0 / #FEDD00 / RAL 1018
Darn! I see this within a half hour after uploading my new avatar. Well, someday I'll update it again.

It would be quite easy for a local ceramic artist to make these for you.
Thanks for the reply, and I have tried finding tile makers through local artisans. Unfortunately, there is no one in my area who makes such things. I'll expand my search to include Chicago, St. Louis, and Indy.

Thank you,
I've looked at the website and will be communicating with Ceramica Rosi soon,

Can I be a nosey- Rosey? What are you planning for them? I really want to redo the walkway to my house and thought it would be fun to use a few in the design. Then I keep going back and forth on whether to have them lead towards or away from my house.

AZgirl,

I’m making concrete markers like they have on the Camino Frances, with the kilometer plaque and directional arrow.
