Hi! I am starting a new thread so I can post on the calendar!
I also want to thank everyone for all the inspiring and thoughtful advice.
My daughter and I are starting May 12 from SJPDP. We fly from Vancouver BC to Paris then Paris to Biarritz where we have Express Bouricot picking us up. We were going to walk 2 years ago but my daughter ended up having back surgery. She is now better and we both look forward to meeting other pilgrims along the way!
Buen Camino to all those heading out before, during and after us!!

Ha! Ha! I guess one can never be too old to learn ( not that I'm old)! It just took me along time to find the right thread to figure out how to post on the calendar! I finally did it! Hooray!!

Hi Amy P! Are you stopping in Orisson for the night or heading up and over the Pyranees? We have booked into Orisson to slowly ease into the Camino and enjoy the pyranees for a night.
We may well meet along the Camino!
Buen Camino!

Hola! Where are you starting your Camino? We are walking for 5 weeks ending our Camino in Santiago. I have been training on the North shore mountains, buntzen lake area and the traboulay trail. I am just getting my pack list down to a manageable weight. Are you taking rain pants?
Nice to hear from a fellow Canadian!
Buen Camino

Hello! As of now we (my friend and I) are not planning on stopping in Orisson for the night. However, if we're exhausted and there is still room available we may change that when the time comes. We're trying to be as flexible as we can :)

Buen Camino!

I am also starting the 12th from SPDP, walking alone & first time. See you on the way. Hopefully the weather will be good when we start.

Haha - SJPP, first post and I misspelled. The Camino will do me good - no more stress :)

Yes, coming in from Paris the 11th. I have booked a hotel room. Planning to start walking around 8. Many in the forum seem to start earlier, but I think 8 will be good. Will look for you :)
