closing in on santiago from st jean and the talk is about the certificate. the main question cropping up is does the certificate show you'd starting point or is it standard as in do we get the same certification as those starting from Sarria?

The official Compostela certificate doesn't show your starting point. You can however purchase a "Distance Walked" certificate at the same time.

Additionally, at the Pilgrim's mass, the priest will mention how many people of each nationality started from each point. It felt quite special for me to be the only Brit to start in León.

thanks for the swiftness of response. don't appear to be many of us Brits on the camino. makes a change!!!

I find that I haven't normally encountered many Brits while walking.
