2015 -- planning to walk

New Member
My name is Pamela and I am from Chicago, Illinois. For my 50th birthday in 2015, I have decided to walk the Camino de Santiago with my husband. It will be a spiritual pilgramage for me as well as a proving to myself that I can do this.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi Pam...welcome to the Forum.
Early planning is never a bad thing. You have plenty of time to research the Forum, follow a thread here and there and, ask if you don't find a ready answer.
I grew up on the near northside and graduated from Lane Tech.
Love the city and the Cubs and Da Bears.

Welcome, Pam!

You'll love the Camino. I'm excited for you. And glad to see more Midwesterners on here. I spent half my childhood in Chicago (Jefferson Park) before our family moved to Wisconsin; I'm now just outside Madison. And even though all of my relatives on both sides of the family are Chicagoans, it's now the Packers and Brewers for me. (Sorry, Arn!) But who doesn't love the Cubbies?

Hi Pam,
I walked from Roncesvalles to Santiago in 2003 just before my 50th birthday. It was such a wonderful experience that I am making my second Camino in April, 2012.
Happy planning! You have heard the call. The journey has begun!!
Buen Camino,
Cathy
