Hello- my name is Alex I am starting from scratch to plan a trip in April of next year. I live in Oregon and have all the questions that likely have already been asked/answered- anyone live in Lane County Oregon? I’d love to connect with folks in a similar status.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

There is a chapter of American Pilgrims on the Camino in Portland if you don't mind driving up there. I'm sure that there must be others in Lane County who have done the Camino. In fact I have a friend in Eugene who walked in 2019. Check your local REI store - there may be someone in the area that does Camino presentations. I'm a chapter coordinator down in Medford, and we do presentations at REI. Well we did until March 2020!

Portland is an hour away but maybe teams or zoom? My upfront questions are about flights and arrangements

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
“I’d love to connect with folks in a similar status.”

Hi Alex, I live in Eugene and have walked several caminos so I’m not in the same position, but I’m willing to answer questions and be helpful if I can. Planning for and walking my first Camino will always be one of my most precious memories.

I'll be doing the same Alex, I'm sure we'll be viewing the same post over the coming months. I hope to do the French Way with a friend.

Hello, Alex. If you are not already aware, the Forum has a great search engine. It is located on the right-hand side of the blue menu bar at the top of the page.

I mention it because entering a word or phrase will likely bring up a ton of information that you can research for answers to your questions. And as trecile mentioned already, posting a question will have any number of Forum members respond to help you out.
