Hello Pilgrims! We are three ladies, (Grandmother, Mother, Daughter) and a very patient fella, from Oregon, planning to begin our Pilgrimage in Vezelay (fella to join us in SJPP) in July! We have one seasoned Pilgrim and three novices. We are hoping for connection and information. Buen Camino!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
On this route many villages have no shop or cafe. You will see more deer than people. It is possible to go hungry in France!

Apart from that, I enjoyed it very much!!

Thank you AJ! We are looking forward to the quiet contemplation before the high volume of people in Spain on a Holy Year. Thank you so much for your advice, extra room for food! Check!

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
Here are a couple of sites showing Vezelay stages and elevations:
http://www.chemins-compostelle.com/itineraires/9/la-voie-de-vezelay
http://caminoways.com/ways/vezelay-way-chemin-de-vezelay/vezelay-way-full-walk
If you click on the arrows on each of the stages (itinerary tab) on the second site, there is a brief English description.
Also, you may want to pick up a copy of the Miam Miam DoDo for Vezelay that will show you accommodations.

Here's a site that has maps of the stages from Vezelay to Ostabat:

We biked one of the many variations of the Vezelay route a few months ago. Nice route, send me a PM if you want to talk about it...

What a wonderful thing to do together! I hope you will have a wonderful Camino! And that you will have lots of food!
