Time of past OR future Camino
Sarria-Santiago 2012. SJPP-Santiago-Finisterre-Muxia 2013. Ponferrada-Santiago June 2014. Leon-Santiago-Finisterre September 2014. April-May 2015: SJPP- S de C- Finisterre -Muxia- S de C.
Flying into Biarritz from Dublin on Thursday 23rd May and leaving St Jean on Friday 24th for my 5th time on the C.F. and hopefully my 2nd time to go from St Jean to Finisterre in one single trip. Managed it in 24 days in 2013 and hoping for 26 days this time. I'll be the slightly overweight Irishman smoking cigarillos with a blue Lowe Alpine 45+10 pack.
Wishing all my fellow peregrinos a blister free and snore free Camino ( no harm in hoping ).

Hi Seamus, Im on your flight and going from St Jean to Finisterre but at a much more leisurely pace. I will be the one following you around trying to inhale your cigarillos as I quit smoking last year and still love the smell! Anne

golly gosh... 24 days is FAST!!!! I ate and drank my way through my snail pace camino, took days off, popped into every open church / cathedral / café along the way ... made it in a 'record breaking' 49 days :) the knees, dodgy knees = go very slow... and eat....vino....sit...contemplate nothingness...then eat, vino, sit... oh and a little bit of walking ;-) buen Camino

Well Anne, even if our paths diverge early after St. Jean, we can at least enjoy a coffee and bite to eat in St Jean on the Thursday evening if you want a teasing whiff of cigar smoke. See you at some point in Dublin Airport on the 23rd.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Seamus, I love the post. I fly into Dublin on the April 20th and then to Biarritz on the 21st. Good luck and I hope to meet you. It sounds like you'll be moving faster than me.

Buen Camino Seamus! That's a very impressive pace.

Nuala, coming from a hillwalking background, my typical 35/ 40 km days are not all that impressive, for non- regular walkers repeated days of 20 kms are a far bigger achievement and physical challenge and I readily and hugely admire those I see daily when on the camino who are dressing badly blistered feet daily, coping with tendonitis etc and still managing to raise a friendly reply when I greet them when passing. The huge benefit from my hill walking background is my feet are very well conditioned for the impact they receive and just over 2,000 kms on my various caminos have yet to see me with a single blister. Of course having tempted fate by saying that I'm probably going to get a lifetime worth of blisters in a few weeks time.

Buen camino
